Over the summer I've been working with Bec Gee from Once (temporary outreach manager SW for English Heritage ) on a creative portrait exhibition with a difference...
Devised with young volunteers in response to some complex challenges and aims, the project model was fun, engaging and very successful. Over 100 printed portraits formed a loosely-themed trail around the Pendennis Castle site for HOD 2009, with a drop-in event in the castle Keep growing another 60+ portraits in dialogue with the exhibition visitors during the day.
Although we rejected mobile media as a delivery format for various reasons in this project, there are interesting influences and applications that would be great to pick up in future work.
