Quick tests on mapping e-merge to Abbey Park. The pink areas above show the shape of the lake in St James's Park - left as the layout was in London. The 'accident' with screenshot popups led to the hole in the middle overlay, which could be useful thinking about visual representation of layered histories in a place - how to highlight the mapping of absence. The gps traces follow the canal paths leading to the park, and an e-merge film created there. The ipaq 214 screen is much higher resolution than the model e-merge was made for, so next task is to re-compress the video for the bigger screen size. Or start gathering fresh content here in Leicester!
