Maybe I've been travelling too long and it's tired my vision, but it seemed quite poignant to wander outside in the sunshine from John Moores University, host venue of the 4th International Media Art Histories conference, this year entitled REWIRE, and see first a 'caution of death' for people sign, then two 'caution of death' rat traps under the otherwise enticing garden bench surrounded by flowers out in the sun, and then from the bench to look up and see a crazy horizon of crucifixes ( not yet realising this is the main tower of the iconic cathedral next door)...
