Short films in Bristol
Just trying out Duncam Speakman's latest collection of 'Short films for you'. Although its midafternoon rather than early morning, the streets are fairly empty due to the British summertime rain, so I decided to start at the beginning, with A Brilliant Sun. The sun is brilliant somewhere up there behind the clouds, and the rich texture of sounds echoing through cosy headphones find easily matches in the world outside - horns echoing as if from the metal sculptures on the swing bridge, rumbling as a young skater rolls over the bridges slatted metal surface, warm tones as I sit hearing seagulls, feeling the warmth of conviviality as the wind blows the rain away.
