The Linnaeus Baroque Ensemble was formed in 2009 by Linnéa Markgren, soprano, Lucia Capellaro, baroque cello, and Sara Wilander, harpsichord. The ensemble performs music by both famous and undiscovered masters of the baroque era, and takes a special interest in Swedish composers. During 2010 the ensemble gave concerts in Sweden and the UK and also participated on the CD ”Liden i Jubileum - Musik under 500 år”on the Järkvissle Film & Media label.
This year the ensemble are releasing a Christmas CD." Motje Wolf, Director of Music, St Margaret's Church, Leicester
”.. a time-typical and eased musicianship with the harpsichord's crisp timbre, masterly handled by Sara Wilander, the soft notes of the cello from Lucia Capellaro and Linnéa Markgren's high, light soprano voice which was very well suited for precisely this type of music..”
