A different way of looking back

Being on the recipient end of a Clean language interview-related test today gave me an interesting different perspective on the event I chose to answer questions about.

It was the walk with Sorrel Muggeridge at Distance in London a couple of weeks ago.
Here's the responses I gave. They're an unusual, and very comfortable, mix of 3D world artefacts form the event re-presented as metaphors for my experience.

"Like following a rope along a river to find the other side

I see it as one long continuous rope, but the artist had a coil with lots of blue rope in the middle and then all sorts of other bits of rope joined on

in my hand

yes, some people are good to follow and others are not

a group who came to try out the piece

I think the ones who are good to follow take my other hand, the one thats not holding the rope

we smile and laugh and notice things together

its the river thames

deep and wide and you can't see past the surface

oh yes, we nearly found it on a boat

well some wanted to go one way and some wanted to go the other way and then we got off again and found it right where we belonged

it solved the quest and wasn't what we'd first thought it might be, and it all made sense when we got there

and i'm trying to remember now where it was that we belonged...

and i cant remember so i'm still trying!

oh yeah, i found the picture on my phone, now i remember! it all came together and we saved a life with a life rope

the other side came to us

it came full circle and there wasn't a following any more"
